知识迁移能力是指将自己已经掌握的旧知识运用到新的情境中,去解决新问题时所体现出的一种能力。

下面这篇文章是一篇阅读理解的原文,文章讲述了布鲁克林大桥建造的曲折故事。父亲John Roebling欲建一座大桥将曼哈顿和布鲁克林连接在一起,其他专家都觉得这一想法过于疯狂,不现实,是白日做梦。

于是父亲将这一想法告诉同是建桥工程师的 Washington,两人一拍即合,开始建造他们的梦想之桥。

开工仅仅几个月,就发生了重大事故。事故中父亲失去了生命,儿子身负重伤,大脑严重受损,不能说话不能行走。

所幸 Washington头脑清醒,即使躺在医院的病床上,他仍然心系大桥,想出了如何和自己的妻子沟通的方法,就是用自己仍然可以活动的一只手指轻拍他妻子的手臂,妻子领会后再告知建桥的工程师们。经过的努力,大桥竣工了。

阅读完上文两个月之后,有一次的习作要求如下:

以约120个词就“变不可能为可能”这一主题发表看法,并包括如下要点:

1) 描述一次你自己或他人的经历;

2) 说明你的感受。

Reading the title It could not be done, I am reminded of Johnson Washington, who made his seemingly pipe dream come true with a never-say-die attitude.

As an engineer, he had been dreaming of building a bridge linking the Long Island to Brooklyn in New York. Critics thought it foolish and crazy to chase wild vision. After a terrible accident during the construction, Johnson wasn able to walk or speak any more.

Almost everyone held that the building of the bridge would not continue. The engineer, however, didn want to give up. He created a way to tell his wife his plan for the construction by tipping one of his fingers,which still could move, on her shoulders.

Eventually, the bridge was accomplished and improved the economic conditions of New York. With his great success, Johnson showed to us how an impossible dream came true with great determination.

I will face numerous challenges in the future and the poem and Johnsons story will always inspire me, which firmly convince me that nothing is impossible.

Impossible is Nothing

Id like to quote an example to demonstrate the power of determination.

The world-famous Brooklyn Bridge was built in an arduous (艰巨的) process. From the moment John Roebling proposed the construction plan, a storm of sarcasm poured down ruthlessly (无情地). Critics said that it was impossible to build the bridge, but the construction still started.

When a severe accident happened which caused the death of the engineer, criticism became louder. Almost everyone thought the bridge was only a pipe-dream.

However, the engineers son, who was also injured in the accident and even couldn talk or move ever since, finished his fathers will by means of tapping a code on his wifes arm to instruct her, which also seemed impossible to those amazed people.

As the saying goes, "Nothing is impossible." When facing challenges, we should always think of this sentence. I believe that nothing is beyond the realm of possibility, so long as "if you really want it".

首先,教师需要利用好任何教学中使用过的可迁移的好素材,如阅读理解、完形填空、语法填空文章等;其次,教师应该训练学生如何提炼好素材的主题,启发学生这些素材可以用在哪些方面;最后,教师要创设相应的情景任务,让学生将储备的素材应用到创设好的情景中,从而为知识的迁移创设场所和条件,实现知识的“内化”。

显然,英语学习中知识的迁移是需要不断的启发和在相对应的情景中才能实现的,是一个艰难的、由被动转化为主动的知识迁移过程,需要不断磨练才能达成。#英语轻松学#
