Aftertwohoursofsittinginthecar,wefinallyarrivedatBrownCountyStatePark.Wesawthecolorfulleavesofthetrees:yellow,red,andorange.Mydadthoughtthatwecamealittlebittoolate,becausetheleaveswerebeginningtoshrivelandwitherand,ofcourse,losetheirwonderfulcolors.Wedrovetoaplacethathadpicnictables,andwesatdownandatelunch.AfterIfilledmystomachwithyummyfood,Ibegintolookatmysurroundings.Therewasatwo-storybuilding,andleaveswereallovertheground.Crunch!Crunch!AsIsteppedontheleaves,Ispottedsomethingredontheground.FirstIthoughtthatitwasapieceofwire,butafteracloserinspection,IfoundoutthatitwasaSwissarmyknife.Igaspedandpickeditup,andIproudlyshowedittomyparents.
Wow,Amy!Youfoundsomethingprecious,didn’tyou?”Mymomsaidwithawink.Mydadwastoostunnedtospeak.IthoughtthatthiswouldbeanOKtrip,butIneverimaginedstumblingupongoodfortune!Ithought.Thisisagoodstart!Mydadpickedthearmyknifeupandinspecteditclosely.

Insidethebuildingwefoundagiftshopandamuseum.Wewenttothebackyardofthebuilding,andithadabeautifulandquietsceneofnatureand…somewindchimes!Aftersomephoto-taking,wewentbacktothecar.
Wedrovetoahillinsidethepark.Wegotoutandwereamazed:Belowthehillisabeautifulseaoftrees!Thedifferent-coloredtreesgrewthiswayandthat,makingitlooklikethewavesoftheocean.Dadquicklygotoutthecameraandtookasmanypicturesaspossible,asifitwoulddisappearifhedoesn’thurry.Wesuddenlygrewdizzylookingatthetreessowegotintothecaragain.
AswewereonourwaytoOgleLake,whichwedecidedshouldbeournextviewingpoint,wesawaprettystagrunningoutofthetrees.Itsantlerswerebigandbeautiful,anditsswiftlegscarriedhimacrosstheforestfloorasifhewasflying.Weallstaredatituntilitdisappeared.Soonwegottothelake.Wewerestunnedtoseetheripplingwaterreflectingalltheviewsontheland,andthesunmadeitshimmerasifitwasmadeoflittlepiecesofdiamonds.Differenttreessurroundedthisenchantedlake,whilethelakereflectedthecolorfultrees.Wesnappedsomepicturesandjustcouldn’tgetenoughofthebeautifulview.Butwehadtogohomebecauseitwasgettinglate.
ThetriptoBrownCountyStateParkwasdazzling,andIreallylovedthescenesthatcaringNatureMotherhadunselfishlyprovided.
