当要表达某人某物最怎么怎么样时，在英语中就涉及到最高级。跟比较级一样，需要明确几个问题。
一、构成
1.单音节和少数双音节的形容词或副词自身变化+est(比较级中--er的，这里都可以--est)
Betty lives (the) closest to school in our class.Im the tallest in my family.
2.多音节形容词或副词需要同the most一起构成最高级(比较级中用more的，这里都可以用the most)
We are training (the)most carefully this year.
Lashes is one of the most famous writers in China.
二、标志
1.与of all ，in China等表示范围的词连用
Yaoming is the most successful basketball player in China.
2. A,B or C三者及三者以上
Which boy do you like best,Tony，Jim or Mike?
3.one of后形容词用最高级
Gone with the wind is one of the most famous novels in the world.
4.序数词后用最高级
The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.
as……as和not as/so……as用的是形容词或副词的原级
My mother is as old as my father.
She isn so beautiful as her sister.
三、变化规则
规则变化这里不再详述，上一篇里有讲解。凡是能加er的比较级，最高级都加est。凡是借more构成比较级的，在最高级中都用the most.

many/much----most
ps:副词最高级前面那个the 是可以省的。
