渗透渗透osmosis某种溶媒通过半透膜（一种溶媒分子能通过，而溶质分子不能通过的膜，从低浓度溶液向高浓度溶液转移的现象。渗透作用所形成的流体静压叫渗透压。渗透与生物界的关系非常密切，半透膜两侧溶液的渗透压不同可以直接影响动、植物对水分的吸收、分布和排出。如果A、B两种溶液的渗透压相同，则为等渗溶液；A溶液的渗透压大于B溶液时，则A与B相比，为高渗溶液，B为低渗溶液。半透膜两侧溶液的渗透压不等时，水便通过渗透作用由低渗侧向高渗侧转移。转移的速度决定于渗透压差的大小和膜对水的通透性。例如，将海胆卵放在海水中，因其与海水等渗，水分子可以相互交流，海胆卵的体积不变。但将海胆卵放在人工高渗海水中时，则海胆卵变小；反之，将其放在稀释的海水中时，体积则增大，直至二者的渗透压相等为止。如果海水的渗透压过低，海胆卵甚至因进水过多而破裂。用哺乳动物的血细胞也可以观察到类似现象。所以血浆渗透压保持相对恒定，对维持血细胞的正常生命活动具有重要意义。渗透作用对于维持植物细胞的正常功能，也具有重要意义。植物细胞形成液泡后，对水分的吸收主要靠渗透作用。各类动物渗透的调节方式和结构是不同的。但总的原则是，通过排水或保水与排盐或保盐以维持体内水分和盐分的含量正常，从而达到渗透压的相对恒定。渗透调节的主要结构有收缩泡、鳃、盐腺和肾4种。
