激发态激发态excitedstate原子或分子吸收一定的能量后,电子被激发到较高能级但尚未电离的状态。激发态一般是指电子激发态,气体受热时分子平动能增加,液体和固体受热时分子振动能增加,但没有电子被激发,这些状态都不是激发态。当原子或分子处在激发态时,电子云的分布会发生某些变化,分子的平衡核间距离略有增加,化学反应活性增大。所有光化学反应都是通过分子被提升到激发态后进行的化学反应,因此光化学又称激发态化学。产生激发态的方法主要有:①光激发。处于基态的原子或分子吸收一定能量的光子,可跃迁至激发态,这是产生激发态的最主要方法。②放电。主要用于激励原子,如高压汞灯、氙弧光灯。③化学激活。某些放热化学反应可能使电子被激发,导致化学发光。激发态是短寿命的,很容易返回到基态,同时放出多余的能量。激发态去活的途径有:①辐射跃迁(荧光或磷光)。②无辐射跃迁(系间窜越,内部转变)。③传能和猝灭(激发态分子将能量传递给另一基态分子并使其激发)。
