活性氧化铝Al2O3 分子量101.96 白色或微红色棒状物。密度3．5-3．9g/cm3。熔点2045℃。沸点2980℃。比表面积200-400m2/g。不溶于水，微溶于碱或酸。其水合物有一水物和三水物两种，并各具有α和γ两种变体，将水合物在200～600℃温度下加热可生成不同晶形的活性氧化铝。实际应用令多以γ型活性氧化铝为主。 应用领域 用于多种气体和液体如空气、氧气、氢气、天然气、甲烷、氟利昂、氨、氯化氢、硫化氢、二氧化硫等的干燥。石油和化学工业上用作许多化学反应过程中的吸附剂、催化剂及其载体。另外，还用作变压器油和透平油的脱酸剂，以及用于色层分析中。
